The Author
Among the contemporary writers in Bengali literature, Sushmita Nath is a well-known name. She was born in Assam and later lived in various parts of the country. Leaving behind her career in academia, she entered the world of writing nearly a decade ago.
Her stories, novels, travelogues, poems, essays, and humorous writings have been published in almost all major popular magazines over the years, including Desh, Sananda, Unish-Kuri, Anandamela, Anandabazar Patrika, Sandesh, Shuktara, Kishor Bharati, Nabakallol, Basumati, Sukhi Grihokon, Grihshobha, Femina, Uttarbanga Sangbad, Suspense Barshiki, Dainik Jugasankha, and Uttorer Saradin. Her works have entertained, intrigued, and captivated readers.
She has also written seven serialized novels for the Sharadiya (festive) and regular issues of Anandamela, Sananda, and other magazines, all of which have been highly acclaimed by readers. Additionally, several of her books have been published.
